Georgian Bay Forever - GBA Foundation is a voluntary community response to the growing need for major research and education projects to sustain the Georgian Bay ecosystem and the quality of life its communities and visitors enjoy.
Georgian Bay Association - "To work with our water-based communities and other stakeholders to ensure the careful stewardship of the greater Georgian Bay environment and to promote the quiet enjoyment of its diverse and finite spaces." The GBA paid for the Baird Report whic studied water levels in the Great Lakes and determined that as many as 845 million gallons a day are being diverted out of Lake Huron.

Canadian Hydrographic Service - Responsible for the collection of tide, current and water level information in the region. The unit operates a permanent network of tide and water level gauging stations throughout the Great Lakes and Hudson Bay.
Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources - A useful website with much information on fishing in Ontario. You can also download the fishing regulations and find out about fishing licenses.
The Ontario Federation of Anglers & Hunters is the record keeper for fish records in Ontario. You can look at their record fish registry to view the record catches in the province (and see how yours stack up).
Ontario Angler Awards - The Ontario Angler Awards is a province-wide program that officially promotes and recognizes recreational angling efforts in Ontario by both resident and non-resident anglers. Catch a big enough fish and you can send in for a certificate recognizing your success.

Transport Canada Office of Boating Safety/Requirements for Foreign Recreational Boaters in Canadian Waters - Nice to know information on the PCOC (Pleasure Craft Operator Card). Is it required for non-Canadians? Also did you know that there is a 6 mph (10 km/hr) speed limit within 100 feet (30 meters) of shore in Ontario? Check up on alcohol regulations while you're there.
